The reenactment of Lafayette’s 1825 celebrated return visit begins at 11:30 am as Lafayette disembarks from a boat as it docks at the Corn Hill Marina along the Genesee River in Rochester, NY.
Lafayette will be greeted by a crowd of supporters from the community to include a group of veterans, Masons and several dignitaries who will toast the return of Lafayette to our country to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our country’s founding The administrations of Rochester’s Mayor Evans and County Executive Adam Bello have agreed to participate.
Members of the renowned jazz band group, Prime Time Brass, will perform music from the 1820s to herald Lafayette’s return. Come and celebrate a renewed sense of patriotism for our country on the eve of its 250th founding!
