These funds will carry us through the grand finale of the Bicentennial tour with the kind of flourish Lafayette himself would applaud. Whether you gave a little or a lot, you helped make history happen (again)!

The American Friends of Lafayette is an all volunteer organization. Our Board of Governors, our Executive Director and our many volunteer Committee Chairs and members donate their time and skills to make events exciting and open to the public so that we can support our mission to Educate, Celebrate and Commemorate the life of Lafayette.

We have undertaken a massive project - The Bicentennial of the Grand Tour as the Guest of the Nation 1824-1825. Since August of 2024, we have been hosting events that follow Lafayette's Grand Tour as closely as possible. The local hosts do a great job of engaging local societies to host a myriad of events.
