Research Projects & Publications

Yasmin Kahn's (Byron) recently published book "Enlightening the World", Cornell University Press 2010 which is a history of the Statue of Liberty and features Lafayette's life and postumous role as the inspiration for the monument.

The University of South Carolina Press is publishing Paul S. Spalding’s Lafayette: Prisoner of State this July. The book treats Lafayette’s five years of incarceration by the Austrians and Prussians (1792-1797).
